Course Objective 4th-6th Grade Writing Class
This course is designed to inspire and ignite your child’s creativity. Here they will have a platform to put thoughts and words on paper and bring them to life. They will also have the opportunity to get up in front of the class to present stories they have written. This will help build their confidence when speaking in front of others; a skill that will be very important later on in life. Confidence is the building block to success. When one is confident, there are no limits to what he or she can accomplish. Every class is unique in and of itself. So if your child decides to write about a whole different topic, they have the complete freedom to do so. To be able to write a story at a young age, then 10 yrs down the road come back and look at it is a wonderful experience. If your child is lacking in the grammar area--even though we touch on points in this class--I highly recommend taking my Grammar and Vocabulary Class. Parents please make sure that
The ultimate goal of the class is to build students’ confidence; as well as getting them to express complete thoughts, be more descriptive, and use the correct capitalization and punctuation. By the end of the semester they should have a book of stories and pictures that they can be proud of. Yes it will have mistakes, but they will gradually be able to look back over time and see how far they have come.

A Great Day!
Do you love dolphins? I love dolphins. A great day for me is a beach day. My family and I wake up super early. First we have pancakes and eggs for breakfast. Then we go upstairs and put on our swimming suits. After we are done with that, we pile into the car. We make the short drive to the beach. Once we are there, we put out our towels, so that we have something to sit on. Now we wait, the dolphins will be swimming in the waves soon enough. There they are!! Then I get up and run as fast as I can into water and try and swim out to them. But they are too fast!! That is ok because I still had a great day!
Homework What makes a great day for you! Write a story and either draw a picture or print a picture and paste it in your book
