Vocabulary and Grammar Class
This is a very fun interactive class, we do games to introduce concepts- we also review what was learned in the previous class. In this class worksheets will be provided each week that meet Charter School Standards. I recommend that in addition to this class, you also enroll your student in the Hands-On Creative Writing Class. All students will benefit from participating in a grammar and vocabulary class each year. It is important that children continue to advance their grammar knowledge as they grow. Each year these children advance to new concepts that will better prepare them for high school and college. Let's keep their minds fresh!
During LIVE ONLINE CLASSES- your child will have a chance to showcase their abilities. There is 1-1 teacher interaction. You also receive positive feedback and encouragement.
Outline for Online Class-
- new concept introduced
-go over concept worksheet
-various games ( teacher guided- asking questions-children answering)
-vocabulary words ( to be used in sentences for homework)
Your child is encouraged to complete 2-3 worksheets a week. They will be rewarded with a stamp each week, and then at the end of the semester, they will receive a prize and a certificate in the mail.
(Your child will have a prize and certificate sent to them, regardless.) This incentive helps you as a teacher/parent when it comes to getting your child to do his/her homework.
